The Phoenix is a sign of Rebirth and rising from the ashes and that is why it was chosen as the logo of this campaign. We want to breathe new life and activity into the Lorain County Republican Party. We have no illusions that this will be easy. There are many that are content with what doesn’t work. That is not to say that there are not bright spots within the party that are flourishing. That is also not to say that there are not members of the party that take credit for the party’s successes when it was passion for individual candidates like Trump that drove the party to victory and not the activities or strategy of party leadership

Dear Lorain County Republicans and Conservatives,

I am writing to you today on behalf of Jon Paul Morrow and this new group, which seeks to revitalize and strengthen the Republican Party in Lorain County. In the spirit of complete transparency, we want to inform you that the City of Lorain, Sheffield, and Sheffield Lake Republican Club has not used this Substack (blog/email newsletter) that had grown to over 1,400 followers in the Lorain County area. A Substack that Jon created for the club when he was Chairman.

The Substack has been dormant for well over a year, and we feel it should be repurposed and brought back to life with a new logo and broadened scope for all of Lorain County.

As a native Ohioan from Monroeville, OH, Jon has significant experience as an economist, small business consultant, graphic designer, and website developer. He is also a political consultant and policy expert in Energy, Economic Development, and Education and has been very active in Southern United States (Texas, Louisiana, Arkansas, Mississippi, and Florida) and Washington D.C. politics. Jon has an "improvise, adapt, and overcome" philosophy and is not content to let a sleeping dog lie. He wants an invigorated Republican Party that is uncompromising in supporting Christian values and not giving one inch to “woke” idiocy.

Jon has helped reform poorly performing Central Committees throughout the South and helped them dominate in highly Democrat areas. For example - In Ohio in 2014, Jon worked as a political strategy consultant for political newcomer Steve Kraus, who was running for Ohio's 89th State House District. Despite being vastly outspent by his opponent Chris Redfern, who was also the Chairman of the STATE Democratic Party, Jon and his team were able to engineer an upset victory for Kraus.

However, their success did not come without significant challenges. Jon and Kraus had to fight against a wholly ignorant Erie County Republican Party at the time, that held contempt for Kraus because of his Christian and conservative values (they were a pro-abortion Republican County Party due to wealthy donor George Mylander.) Additionally, the state Republican party was unwilling to help Kraus or invest in his campaign, as they saw the seat as unwinnable and had been held by Democrats for nearly half a century. Despite these obstacles, Jon and his team persevered, utilizing their skills and expertise to win the election. A week after Kraus's victory, Chris Redfern was relieved of his duties as Chair of the Ohio Democratic Party, marking a significant win for Kraus, Jon and their team.

Jon's experience demonstrates his ability to overcome significant obstacles and achieve victory, even in the face of opposition from both sides of the political spectrum. His expertise in political strategy and his commitment to conservative and Christian values make him an invaluable asset to Lorain County Republicans and Conservatives.

We believe that Jon's experiences and insights will be valuable to those who attend the meetings and read the Substack, and we encourage all Republicans and Conservatives in Lorain County to join us in this effort to revitalize our party. We will be holding meetings that are open to all Republicans and Independents (considering becoming Republican), and we will be actively helping candidates take a Christian and conservative path to winning. We will also be making efforts to fill all the empty Lorain County Republican Party Central Committee seats in 2024 and looking to replace County Central Committee members that feel that they should not have to meet but once every 4 years. We want county central members that want to meet at least quarterly. If you are a County Central Committee person and want such a change, please let yourself be known.
